The American Legion, Franklinton Post 52, welcomes everyone to our 2023 Awards Banquet. Each year in March, we celebrate two different occasions. The first is the Birthday of The American Legion. This year we celebrate 104 years as an organization, serving our veterans, their families, our community, and our nation. As an organization, we are proud of the programs The American Legion sponsors and supports. Several resent accomplishments of The American Legion have been the enactment of the PACT act that establishes the right of veterans who were harmed by such orocesses as "burn pits" and the contaminated water system at Camp Legume to get VA benefits addressing those harms.
Secondly, the American Legion recognizes the sacrifice of those on our home front that contribute to our quality of life by recognizing individuals from Law Enforcement, Fire, EMS, Community Service, Soldiers, and The American Legion family, that go above and beyond in service to our Community and Country.
As Armed Forces veterans, we are honored and proud of our nation and what it stands for. We are a dedicated group of veterans that want to make a difference in our community, state, and nation. The following are some of the areas that Post 52 supports.
- Temporary Financial Assistant Fund (TFA)
- Child Welfare Foundation (CWF)
- National Emergency Fund (NEF)
- Veterans Service Officers Fund (VSF)
- Sponsor high school Boys to NC Boys State & Student Trooper Programs
- Ronald McDonald House, Pull Tab program
- Memorial Day Service, including placing American flags on Veteran graves.
- Provide and post US flags in the Town of Franklinton during Memorial, Flag Day, July 4th, and Veterans Day.

For God and Country
