American Legion, Franklinton Post 52 welcomes everyone to our 2014 Awards Banquet. Each year in March we celebrate two different occasions. The first occasion being the Birthday of the American Legion. This year we celebrate 95 years as an organization serving our veterans, their families, our community and our nation. As an organization we are proud of the programs the American Legion sponsors and supports. Several recent accomplishments of the American Legion have been the new revised GI Bill and the ruling by the Ninth U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals that the phrase "under God" in the Pledge of Allegiance is constitutional and also upheld the use of "In God We Trust" on coins and currency. These are just two examples of who we are and what we stand for. Secondly the American Legion recognizes the sacrifice of those on our home front that contribute to our-quality of life by recognizing individuals from Fire, EMS, Law Enforcement, Community Service, Soldiers, and the American Legion family that go above and beyond in service to our Community and Country.
As veterans of the Armed Forces we are honored and proud of our nation and for what it stands for. We are a dedicated group of veterans that want to make a difference in our community, state and nation.
The following are some of the areas that Post 52 supports.
- Temporary Financial Assistant Fund (TFA)
- Child Welfare Foundation (CWF)
